Mumbai: Jagran Prakashan Ltd’s (JPL) President Ms. Apurva Purohit has been declared as one of the’30 most powerful women in business by Business Today magazine. The prestigious award was presented by Union Textile Minister Ms. Smriti Irani at a power packed event held in Mumbai
Ms. Apurva Purohit played a pivotal role in merging Radio City with the Jagran group, one of the leading media conglomerates in India. Under her leadership, Radio City not only scaled up from a 4 station company to 20 stations last year, but also became one of the largest and the most profitable FM stations in the country. Radio City has won several awards over the years, and for the fifth year in a row the brand has been ranked among the Top-25 brands to work for in India by the ‘Great Place to Work’ survey.

She is also the author of the national best – selling book “Lady, You’re not a Man” – the Adventures of a Woman at Work. Through the book Apurva talks to men and women in the work force offering practical advice on how to be successful and happy both at home and at work, through emotional intelligence and maturity in managing relationships – with self and with others.
