New Delhi: The next iteration of Apple’s iPhone is reportedly coming in August 2014. The iPhone 6 will be released to the public in August 2014, while the larger iPhablet is likely to be released in September.
The two devices are eagerly awaited since they are expected to sport larger screen sizes than what Apple has usually been known for. While the iPhone 6 will have a 11.9-cm (4.7-inch) screen, the iPhablet will see Apple go past the 5-inch barrier for the first time. The device is expected to sport a 13.9-cm (5.5-inch) screen, which is the biggest ever from Apple.
80 million units of the iPhone 6 are likely to be produced by the company this year. Apple hopes to regain the market share that it lost to South Korean Samsung Electronics and other manufacturers. The Cupertino-based technology giant has faced a lot of criticism on the small screen sizes of their iPhones.
