Trivendrum : Amrita TV is all set to raise the bar in Malayalam GEC space by diving in to the competition with the launch of a new season of its prime show “Let’s Dance” and this is the second big property launch from Amrita TV in July month itself.
This season comprises some of the ace choreographers and actors of South Indian Cinema will be starring as the permanent Jury in Amrita TV’s new season of Let’s Dance starting July 28th
The show will be aired in weekdays (Monday to Thursday) prime time between 7.30PM to 8.30 pm.
This novel talent hunt for dancing pairs which is open to male- female pairs or same gender pairs, which had generated public acclaim in its earlier season is now back on Amrita TV.
The new season has star choreographer Sreedhar Master who has a track record of choreographing for over 1000 plus Indian and International movies. The super duper hit dance number “Nakku Mukku” and blockbluster movies “Thalaiva” starring Vijay and Amala Paul, “Jilla” (Mohanlal & Vijay), Vedi (Vishal, Sameera Reddy) etc., are his choreographed movies. Giving him company in the jury panel is noted Tollywood actor Shantanu, who is the son of multi-faceted director-actor Bhagyaraj and actress Poornima Jayaram .
Since the show is for pairs, the jury panel is also designed to comprise pairs which includes stars like Aravinder, Sarayu and Shruthi Lakshmi.
Twenty dance pairs from Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the 15-30 age-group will be competing for 100 episodes of the one-hour show for the next six months. these pairs comprise all male pairs 9 ,all female pairs 2 and male-female pairs 10
The final list of shortlisted contestants were selected through a state-wide audition hunt in different centre’s to elicit maximum participation of dancing talent.
It may be noted that Amrita TV had launched a new Family entertainer chat show “Malayali Durbar” on 19th July in its week end (Saturday) time band between 8PM to 9PM
