Amazon Prime Video India has announced the promotion of Sahira Nair to the position of Head of Hindi Scripted Series at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios. Nair previously served as Head of Hindi Franchise Series, where she played a pivotal role in shaping popular content.
In an enthusiastic LinkedIn post, Sahira expressed her excitement for the new role, stating, “Super excited to take on the role of Head of Hindi Scripted Series, Prime Video India. Narrating stories has always been my passion, and Prime Video has helped me give shape to some of the most loved stories like Mirzapur, The Family Man, Bandish Bandits, Jubilee, and many more, that are watched by customers around the world. I look forward to developing many more worlds and characters and creating more iconic franchises in my new role.”
Sahira brings a wealth of experience to her new position, having worked with several renowned organizations prior to joining Amazon Prime. Her extensive background includes roles at Epic Television Networks, Ishara Films, Babble Fish Productions, the Bill and Melinda Gates AIDS Foundation for Films, Kaleidoscope Entertainment, Fox Searchlight Pictures, and Warner Bros. Television. Notably, she contributed to iconic productions such as Gossip Girl, CSI: New York, and The Sopranos.
With a strong foundation in creative problem-solving, production management, casting, and leadership, Sahira’s expertise is expected to drive Prime Video India’s Hindi scripted content to new heights. She holds a BFA in Producing and Directing from the School of Visual Arts.
