Mumbai: Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) India, a professional services firm, has announced the appointments of Kunwar Vijayant Singh and Ranajit Sahu as Managing Directors. These appointments strengthen A&M’s leadership team and its capabilities to deliver tailored solutions to clients across the energy and resources, metals, and mining sectors.
Singh, based in Delhi, brings over 24 years of experience with expertise in digital and analytics-led transformations, operations improvement, and business strategy. His experience spans metals, mining, chemicals, auto components, electrical products, and heavy engineering. Prior to A&M, Mr. Singh was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led McKinsey India’s Materials and Advanced Analytics in Metals practices, delivering impactful results across India, China, Europe, Southeast Asia, and the US. He holds an engineering degree from IIT Delhi and an MBA from IIM Calcutta. At A&M, he will co-lead the Energy and Resource Practice for A&M India, alongside Vivek Kamra, a seasoned operator-turned-consultant.
Sahu, based in Bengaluru, joins A&M with over 13 years of experience in strategy consulting and industry roles, specializing in operational excellence, large-scale business transformations, and mega capital project management. He previously led the Metals & Mining practice for Accenture Strategy in India, where he managed major digital transformation projects, including the digitalization of operations for the world’s largest coal mining company. Mr. Sahu holds a bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Electronics Engineering from the College of Engineering & Technology, Bhubaneswar, and a postgraduate diploma in management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai.
