Goa: The grand finale of the eighth edition of the exciting Maruti Suzuki Dakshin Dare Rally on Saturday in Goa saw Aishwariya Pissay representing CEAT team winning 1st Position in two-wheeler Lady Category. Other CEAT team members secured podium wins in two-wheeler category with Vishwas S.D. and Baljeet Singh at 2nd position in Group ‘A’, Class 400cc and 3rd position in Group ‘B’, Class 165cc, respectively. Also, Yash Raj finished at 4th position in Group ‘A’, Class 310 cc.
Commenting on the occasion, Aishwariya Pissay said, “Off-road driving is not only about the bike but also about the resilience and the presence of mind employed by the rider. This year’s Dakshin Dare Rally saw extremely high level of competition and I am glad to finish top position in my category. I would like to thank Team CEAT for all their support and motivation.”
Speaking on the wins, CEAT’s VP-Marketing, Mr Nitish Bajaj, said, “It gives us immense pleasure to see CEAT team perform so well and secure three podium finishes. I would like to congratulate all the participants for displaying great spirit during the competition.”
The six-day event was flagged off from Bengaluru on July 31 and had the participants cover 2,200 km through the off-roads of Coorg, Shimoga and Goa posing as a challenge for the participants. The eighth edition saw a total of 190 participants, the highest ever in the history of Dakshin Dare.
