Adobe has announced the appointment of Lara Balazs as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Executive Vice President, Global Marketing. In her new role, Balazs will report directly to CEO Shantanu Narayen and will lead Adobe’s Global Marketing Organization, overseeing the company’s global brand strategy, marketing campaigns, communications, digital presence, and media operations.
Balazs joins Adobe from Intuit, where she served as CMO and General Manager of the Strategic Partner Group. At Intuit, she reimagined the company’s brand and go-to-market strategy, supporting its AI-driven financial technology platform and significantly enhancing brand awareness and reputation. Her leadership at Intuit, along with her previous experience at Amazon, Visa, and Nike, has solidified her reputation as a trailblazer in customer-centric marketing and digital transformation.

In her career, Balazs has been instrumental in driving transformational growth for some of the world’s most iconic brands. She played a pivotal role in the global expansion of Amazon Prime, helped launch key mobile-first products at Visa, including Visa Checkout and Apple Pay, and led significant growth for Intuit’s ProTax Group. Her efforts have earned her recognition on Forbes’ list of the World’s Most Influential CMOs and the AdWeek CMO Vanguard Award.
A passionate advocate for advancing the marketing profession and social impact, Balazs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Pre-Law from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
