This platform takes the young footballers’ experience to a whole new level, giving them a world class venue to play at and testing their playing and in game strategy skills.
adidas Tango League – a global proposition, aims to cultivate the culture of turf football in India. The tournament provides a platform for young talent to showcase their skills and compete with the best teams from Delhi-NCR. adidas has already hosted two editions in India, with each edition comprising of 48 teams and players between the age group of 16 to 25 yrs.
What sets the adidas Tango League apart are the exciting new rules introduced in every edition, it tests a football creator’s ability to literally think on their toes. The second edition, in July, saw the 30 seconds of fame rule in which the buzzers were activated on the pitch for 30 seconds and any team that scored got two goals for every goal scored. In the upcoming edition, adidas has introduced the COPA strike rule, wherein every team will be given the latest adidas COPA boots and any team that scores with these boots will be counted as two goals.
The reigning Champions Avengers FC will battle it out to reclaim their crown and bragging rights, or, we would see a new Champion emerge.
