Hemkunt Foundation Gurukul, a non-profit organization, on 75th Independence Day announced the onboarding of Ranveer Singh to their advisory board.
Hemkunt Foundation Gurukul is a non-profit organization fighting inequity, poverty, and disease through humanitarian aid in addition to disaster relief programs.
As a part of this association, Ranveer will encourage and empower the youth of India to take an active part in helping the underprivileged. He will be closely associated with the cause of the education of children, especially from marginalized communities. Along with that, Ranveer will collaborate with the Hemkunt Foundation International Academy (HFIA) to build India’s largest skill development school in Madhya Pradesh. The school aims to support India’s youth with employment opportunities. In the past, Ranveer has been associated with leading non-profit organizations to drive on-ground impact and uplift communities.
Talking about his motivations behind joining the foundation, Ranveer Singh said, “Covid disrupted all our lives. The magnitude of the impact felt by the underprivileged communities was immeasurable. It was heartening to see the measures Hemkunt Foundation took to save as many lives as possible. They emerged as the beacon of hope for so many Indians. I think it is the ‘Sewa Bhaav’ that keeps them going. I am glad to be joining hands with them and do what’s in my power to impact more lives, positively. I hope with this association we can mobilize the young generation to take action.”
“We are extremely grateful to have Ranveer Singh join the Hemkunt family. He is the perfect embodiment of our values of striving to give back to society. I am certain together we’ll be able to create tangible on-ground impact in the society.” said Harteerath Singh, Director of Hemkunt Foundation Gurukul.
