Sky247, the global, dynamic, and fast-growing sports news portal has partnered with the T10 Sports Management to support the Abu Dhabi T10 as a ‘Powered By’ sponsor. The partnership will be a tremendous boost for the Abu Dhabi T10 as it will help the tournament spread across a wider fan base around the world.
A sensational line-up of players, which includes the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle, the big-hitting Andre Russell, and Shahid ‘Boom Boom’ Afridi, has already been confirmed for the cricket extravaganza, which will be played at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi from January 28 to February 6, 2021.
The eight franchises, who will fight it out in the tournament include Team Abu Dhabi, Maratha Arabians, Bangla Tigers, Deccan Gladiators, Qalandars, Delhi Bulls, Northern Warriors, and Pune Devils.
Shaji Ul Mulk, Founder Chairman of Abu Dhabi T10, says, “I am delighted to welcome Sky247 as our ‘powered by’ sponsor for the forthcoming edition of the Abu Dhabi T10. This is a clear indication of the increasing popularity of the fastest-growing cricket format. Our partnership with Sky247 will go a long way in repositioning the tournament across fans from around the world. I would also like to thank Pacific Ventures led by Parvez Khan for facilitating this partnership.”
João Coimbra, Marketing Manager, Sky247.net said, “We believe, the ten-over format is going to dominate the future of cricket and as Abu Dhabi T10 is the world’s first professional cricket tournament that has captured the global cricketers’ attention. We are very excited to be partnering with them. We see across markets, cricket as a big potential market where we start seeing a big growth and we want to be part of it, but this is just a small reason why we took this partnership forward. The main reason is the fact that this kind of tournament is a huge opportunity for brand growth and has everything to do with Sky brands where we are able to support the growth of a sport that is already huge“.
The Abu Dhabi T10 is not Sky247 news portal’s first foray into the cricketing world. The news portal recently also sponsored the D20 cricket tournament in the UAE.
