Mumbai: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Arvind Kejriwal has come up with yet another radio ad campaign, this time, in response to Bharat Janta Party’s (BJP) jabs at his resignation. In the radio ad released by the BJP, an old lady is heard criticising the AAP leader for his decision to quit.
Without mentioning Kejriwal, the individual in the BJP radio ad says, “It was my fault. He called himself an aam aadmi (common man) and cheated us. He made tall promises, claimed that he will provide free water, but only gave us tears. We will take our revenge for this irresponsibility. We will not vote for this man who does not do any work. To change Delhi with full majority, let’s walk with Modi.”
Hitting out at the same ad, the AAP leader wrote on his Twitter account, “Did u hear a BJP ad on radio where an old woman appears angry with me? Our response to BJP ad” Along with the message, he posted an audio, asking his followers to listen to it and re-tweet it.
In his reply, Kejriwal’s says through the ad, “There is a radio ad in which an old lady appears angry with me. She says because she voted for me and I resigned from the post of chief minister. She thought I did not respect her vote. I want to assure that I did not run away. I am coming back with full majority to serve you. Just give me your blessings. Neither has your vote been wasted nor has your hardwork. The only shortcoming was of seats. Keep the faith and blessings and we will be back to serve you with full majority for five years. Now stop being angry and smile a bit.”
The radio ad war between the two political parties has been going on for a while, and has further intensified as the election dates are drawing nearer.
