New Delhi : The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has released the list of permanent and provisional MSOs (Multi-System Operators) in the country as on 21st October 2015.
The list has Ooty based Nilgiri Cable TV in Tamil Nadu with permanent MSO licence, while 36 new MSOs have been given provisional registrations.
Nilgiri Cable TV has got permanent registration on 20th October 2015 and will operate in Phase III and Phase IV areas in Tamil Nadu.
Moreover, the MSOs Novabase Digital Entertainment (Delhi), Sea TV Network (Uttar Pradesh), Delhi Distribution Company, and JPR Channel (Mumbai) were given pan India licence for operation in DAS notified areas.
The 36 new MSOs that have got provisional licences and their areas of operation are as follows:
- Sky World Digital – City/ town/ area under Phase III and IV in Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Pondicherry
- Kamban Digital – Thanjavur, Thiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Ariyalur, Cuddalore and Pudukottai districts in Tamil Nadu
- Tejas Doordarshan Cable Network – In entire DAS notified areas of Aravalli, Sabarkantha and Mahfisagar districts of Gujarat and Dungarpur district of Rajasthan
- Shivalik Digital – Dehradun district in Uttarakhand and Simour district in Himachal Pradesh
- Pahalgam Cable Network – Anantnag district in Jammu & Kashmir under Phase III and IV
- Winn Suthi Digital Network – Areas in Tamil Nadu under Phase III and IV
- Sakharkherda Cable Network – Maharashtra
- Kachchh Digital Network – Gujarat
- Mukand Trading – North-Eastern states (Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram and Sikkim), Siliguri, Cooch Bihar, Jalgaon, Dinajpur, Malda, Krishna Nagar, Howrah, Purulia, Asansol, and Medinapur areas in West Bengal, and Dhanbad and Bokaro in Jharkhand
- Pundir Star Digital – Pan India
- Cat Vision – Pan India
- SMR Entertainment – In Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab and Madhya Pradesh under all phases
- Goa Digital Co-operative Society – Pan India
- Sundar Digital Cable Network – Sonepat district in Haryana
- ABS Digital Cable – Pan India
- Broadways – Kangra, Mandi and Hamirpur districts in Himachal Pradesh
- Omnero Media – Himachal Pradesh
- Modern Communication – Nagaland, and Karbi Anglong and Golaghat districts in Assam

- KTV Network – Neemuch, Mandsaur, and Garoth districts in Madhya Pradesh, and Pratapgarh, Chittorgarh, Kota, Jhalawar and Udaipur districts in Rajasthan
- Rachit Cable Network – Bulandshahr district in Uttar Pradesh
- Signet Digital – Palghar district in Maharashtra
- Cable Combine Communication – West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, Nagaland, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Meghalaya under all Phases
