Mumbai : Flipkart one of the fast growing online shopping player has assigned its creative duties to Lowe Lintas & Partners following a multi agency pitch that lasted for more than two months. In which Lowe Lintas & Partners emerged victorious after a last round chase with Ogilvy & Mather.
Flipkart senior director Shoumyan Biswas said, “Our business landscape is rapidly expanding and our growth rates have been exponential – in this environment we need our brand to also evolve at the same pace. We felt the need to have a more strategic approach to be able to address a wider variety of consumers and markets. “

Flipkart in March announcement that it has crossed $1 billion in gross merchandise, a year ahead of the scheduled target in 2015 and infused a fresh investment of USD 1 billion to strengthen their growth story, followed by that they announced the acquisition of Myntra with an estimated cost over a Rs 2000 crore.

Lowe Lintas also recently won the creative duties for FreeCharge, an online platform for recharge, utility payments, promotions and couponing earlier this month. Some of the other clients that the agency has added to its rooster in the recent past include; Hero Motocorp, Star TV, OLX, Heinz, Bharat Matrimony, Onida, Expedia, BookMyShow, Milma, Coir Board, Bharat Benz, Max Bupa, and Apollo Hospitals.
