Pune: PayU Money is investing Rs 50 crore in a month-long campaign ‘Faide ki aadat (habit of saving)’ aimed at getting online shoppers to use its payment gateway and receive a 1% discount per transaction.
The campaign will be launched on 25th September with advertising across various media channels and other Multimedia platforms.
“Online shoppers spend Rs 3-5 lakh yearly on shopping online, whether it is clothes, cosmetics, grocery or electronic items, or ordering food. We want to encourage this segment to use PayU Money whether through their credit or debit card or through net banking and save 1% as over the year this saved money could be as high as Rs 5,000,” said Nitin Gupta, CEO and co-founder of PayU Money.
The company will launch the campaign with commercials across 90 national television channels; 300 cinema screens across the country; and outdoor campaigns in three cities, besides radio and print advertisements.
