New Delhi : The Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF) has appointed Girish Srivastava as its secretary general.
In a statement released here, the IBF said that in a career spanning over 24 years, Girish Srivastava has worked with NASSCOM (National Association of Software and Service Companies), Bechtel Corporation, Bechtel Management Consulting, Reliance Industries, Toyo Engineering India as well as on projects mainly funded by international donor agencies.
Welcoming his appointment, IBF President Uday Shankar, who is also the CEO of Star India said that Srivastava has done commendable job in the area of policy, regulations, promotion of cross-border trade in services, research, strategic expansion of existing businesses and development of new markets.
“Given his extraordinary contributions in policy, trade, reforms and governance working with both private and government sector, Girish has been regularly appointed as a member of several high profile Government Committees and programmes,” Shankar said in a statement here.
“I, along with rest of the IBF members welcome Girish and wish him success for his new assignment,” he added.
The Indian Broadcasting Foundation was established in 1999. It has among its members broadcasters who manage around 350 channels.
