Trivendrum : The most revered festival for Malayalees across the world, Onam is around the corner. To celebrate this festival of happiness, prosperity and fulfillment, Amrita TV has lined a slew of blockbusters which will be premiered on Television internationally for the first time during Onam. The channel has gone ahead of others by planning a fortnight long celebration by igniting the festive mood from 29th August itself with Mohalal’s special movies every day.
The first day of Onam which falls on Saturday 6th September will witness the premiering of three movies on Amrita TV viz:- (i) “Good Bad & Ugly” starring Sreejith Vijay, Meghana Raj, Suraj Venjaramood (ii) “Angry Babies In Love” starring Anoop Menon, Bhavana and (iii) “Bicycle Thieves” starring Asif Ali, Aparna Gopinath.
The second day of Onam, Sunday 7th September, which is the main festival day will see the screening of wonderful movies viz:- (i) “Aritst” starring Fahad Fazhil, Ann Augustin, (ii) “Mr. Fraud” starring Mohanlal, Sidhique, Mia George and (iii) “ Polytechnic” starring Kunjacko Boban, Bhavana, Suraj Venjaramood .
On the third day of Onam, Monday 8th September, Amrita TV will telecast three new movies viz:- (i) “Parayan Bhakki Vechathu” starring Maqbool Salman, Kottayam Nazeer, Anumol, (ii) “Madirasi” starring Jayaram, Meghana Raj, Meera Nandan and (iii) “Up & Down Mukalil Oralundu” starring Indrajit, Meghana Raj, Remya Nambisan.
On the final day of Onam, Tuesday 9th September Amrita TV will telecast yet another new film “Kadhaveedu” starring Kunchakko Boban & Bhama.
In fact even before the main Onam days, Kerala celebrates a prelude to the Onam festival called “Atham” spanning nine days starting from 29th August. On these days, Amrita TV has scheduled a film festival featuring Mega star Mohanlal where one super hit film of Mohanlal will be telecast every day. viz:- “Aaram Thampuran” (29-8-2014), “Sagar Elias Jacky” (30-8-2014), “Keerthi Chakra” (31-8-2014), “Casinova” (1-9-2014), “Innathe Chinthavishayam” (2-9-2014), “Ravana Prabhu” (3-9-2014), “Snehaveedu” (4-9-2014), “Evidam Swargamanu” (5-9-2014).
