Trivandrum: Malayalam Satellite Channel Asianet is set to Launch two new fiction shows Pranayam and Ezhu Rathrikal on 6th June.
The Channel has scheduled Pranayam at 7.00 PM (Monday to Saturday) replacing Amma which went off-air on 3rd July and Ezhu Rathrikal will be air at 10.30 PM on every Monday to Saturday.
While Ezhu Rathrikal is a horror show that describes the sequence of events happening in Elangikal tharavadu at Sairanthirimedu, Pranayam is a remake of top rated Hindi show Ye Hai Mohabbattein, which is running on Star Plus since December 2013.
The story of Prayanam in Malayalam or Ye Hai Mohabattain in Hindi is based on the Novel titled Custody, which was written by Manu Kapur. The Rights of the novel was acquired by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Telefilms Ltd, who are the producers of Ye Hai Mohabattein.
The Original storyline revolves around the life of Ishita, who is a Tamilian, and Raman, a Punjabi, who divorced his wife Shagun and lives with his daughter Ruhi. Ishita being their neighbour gets attached emotionally to Raman’s daughter Ruhi, Raman’s ex-wife, Shagun lives with Ashok, her boyfriend and with Adi, the son born to Raman and Shagun. The drama revolves around Shagun’s vengeance towards Raman and her attempts to spoil his life with the help of Ashok.
The Storyline of Ye Hai Mohabbatein was an instant hit and due to this reason, Star India went on to remake it in various regional languages. Apart from Malayalam, the show was already remade in Tamil language as Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai that airs on STAR Vijay, Bengali language as Mon Niye Kachakachi that airs on STAR Jalsha and in Kannada as “Avannu Matte Shravani” on Asianet Suvarna.
A new face Srinish Aravind was introduced to play the role of Raman in Pranayam and he is a Malayalam speaking boy from Chennai and Isitiha’s character will be played by Tamil Actress Ramya along with others like Beena Antony, Kailas Nath, Aadithyan, Kottayam Rsheed etc…
