IPG Mediabrands has hired Andy Male to filled a newly created role running social media arm Rally for the media agency’s World Markets Asia cluster.
The Brit will be based in Singapore, and report into Derek Tan, the director of Rally, and Prashant Kumar, the president of IPG Mediabrands World Markets Asia.
He joins from Sapient Nitro in the UK where he was digital and direct client services director.
Male said: “As digital transformation takes grip across industries, social connections are at such a scale, they are breathing life into new brands whilst driving traditional brands to transform. Rally’s clients include Malaysia Airlines, which the agency helped respond to the social media impact from the twin air disasters MH370 and MH17.
