TAM has released an overview of the advertising ad volume on different platforms by the airlines sector, between April and June 2014.
The report focusses on advertising carried out by the sector on television, print and radio.
The entire analysis is based on ad volumes expressed in secondages/column centimeters. The figures should be taken only as indicative and not absolutes.
TV advertising by the Airlines category surged by 292 per cent during Q2, 2014, compared to Q2, 2013. As per the report, within television, 83 per cent share of advertisements was on national TV and the rest on regional.
As compared to Q2, 2013, ad volumes in print reduced by 35 per cent during Q2, 2014.
67 per cent share of ad insertions by the category was on radio, the report revealed.
Overall, Indigo Airlines and EL AL Israel Airlines were the only new brands on radio and print, respectively.
Maharashtra came in the first place with 18 per cent share of ad volumes, followed by Tamil Nadu and Delhi with 15 per cent share each.
