Chennai : Gemini TV the primary Telugu GEC of Sun TV Network has acquired the remake rights of the Fiction show “Parvarrish” from Sony Entertainment Television.
“Parvarrish” was one of the promising Fiction shows aired in Sony TV during the year 2011 to 2013 and it went up to 381 episodes.
Telugu Fiction industry is already flooded with plenty of Hindi Dubbing serials and remakes and it seems Gemini TV also decided to catch-up with the current mood of the audience.
The storyline primarily revolves around two families who are relatives, the Ahluwalias and the Ahujas. It focuses on the troubles they go through in bringing up their children and the lessons they learn from these experiences.
Shweta Tiwari was the female protagonist in “Parvarrish” and did the character of “Sweety Kaur” which got nominated for the Best Actress Award in The Global Indian Film & TV Honours.
The Telugu version of “Parvarrish” was titled as ‘Aakashamantha” and it will be aired from 4th August onwards. Gemini TV has planned to launch it in the Prime Time slot.
Gemini TV has assigned the Production and Creative Job to the Production House Radaan Media Works and the shoot is happening in Hyderabad.
The absence of a Telugu GEC for both Star India and Sony TV is helping other GECs in Telugu Market to easily acquire the Rights from the respective Hindi Channels.
It may be noted that “Parvarrish” was also Dubbed in Tamil and it was aired in Raj TV titled as “Nilave Malare”
