Mumbai : Namit Sharma has decided to move on from Zee TV as programming head after a stint that lasted for 14 months.
Sources from Zee TV reveals that Sharma has put in his papers earlier this week and 8th May will be his last working day on Zee TV, until the channel finds a replacement, Business Head Pradeep Hejmadi will be overseeing the programming part also.
Namit Sharma joined Zee TV during February 2014 and during his tenure he has launched programs like Kumkum Bhagya, Jamai Raja, Neeli Chatri Waale and the recently launched ”DID Super Moms Season 2.”
Before joining Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (Zeel) Namit Sharma was with Wizcraft Television and Films as business head and chief creative officer.
He replaced Ajay Bhalwankar at Zee, who had quit to join Sony Entertainment Television (SET) as chief creative officer.
Namit Sharma is yet decided on his future career plans and he is likely to small mid-career break.
