Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) entered a partnership with Idea Cellular for two years valid agreement for “Smart gas solution” service delivery process of IOC.
It is believed that this deed will turn more than 80 million LPG consumers of Indane to book LPG 24/7 on mobile phones and the customers will receive booking status and updates via SMS and IVR.
The country’s third largest telecom operator said – “The process starts from initiating booking request, billing, etc., and ends with delivery of LPG cylinder with regular updates to consumers, across the country”
Regarding the partnership agreement, Idea shared with us that “The service allows Indane consumers to book LPG 24×7 and offers IVR (interactive voice response) and SMS based delivery status updates, without having to visit the distributor’s outlet”
Indian Oil Corporation Executive Director A N Jha said “This has been one of the major e-governance projects for IOC and has not only helped us enhance overall transparency in LPG cylinder booking and real-time reporting…but also faster problem resolution and better experience for the consumers”
More than 40 cities availed this service and soon it will be available all over India and the main motive is to provide convenience and satisfaction to their consumers.
