PGS Entertainment has achieved 100 percent free-TV carriage in Europe for Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood, an animated show from Method Animation and DQ Entertainment.
The latest free-TV deals were made with CSC Pop in the U.K. and Ireland, and MTVA in Hungary. The 52×11-minute program follows the adventures of 10-year-old Robin of Locksley. It was already snapped up by Clan TVE in Spain, OufTivi/RTBF in French Belgium, VRT in Flemish Belgium, RTL TéléKids in the Netherlands, BBC Alba in Scotland, RTS in French Switzerland, MTV3 in Finland, NRK in Norway, SVT in Sweden and LRT in Lithuania, as well as by Pixel Channel in the Ukraine.
“Robin Hood has been a great hit with 6- to 10-year-olds around the world and we’re delighted to have achieved this milestone in Europe,” said Philippe Soutter, co-founder and president of PGS. “Its popularity comes from the fact that both kids and their parents love the show. Kids love the adventures and mischief Robin and his pals get into, and parents appreciate the lessons they learn along the way.”
