KL: JWT Malaysia has been named agency of record for FindIt Malaysia, which has launched a mobile platform that helps consumers find business and services nearest to them. The appointment underscores JWT Malaysia’s fast-growing digital and social media marketing capabilities.
FindIt delivers location relevant search results across merchant listings, best deals, offers and classified ads. About 300,000 businesses across Malaysia are already on Findit, and more are signing up each day.
FindIt has been launched in Malaysia by Getit Infoservices India, which operates a location-based business directory search and classifieds platform called Askme India. The Askme mobile app has been downloaded on 7 million devices in the last six months.
“FindIt is set to revolutionize mobile search in Malaysia by empowering consumers with instant, location relevant solutions accompanied by relevant reviews and promotional offers,” says Manav Sethi, FindIt Malaysia’s marketing head and Group CMO of Getit Infoservices.
JWT Malaysia has been tasked with developing FindIt Malaysia’s brand strategy, creating a launch campaign and developing ongoing programs to promote the app across traditional, digital and social network platforms.
“The JWT team demonstrated not just their high-octane passion but more importantly, a complete understanding of the business and the consumerscape. And since we’ve started working together, our relationship has progressed beyond the traditional client-agency business,” says Sethi. “I’m pleased to say, we’ve embarked on an equal-gound partnership where decisions are made together, minus the usual multi-level chain of command.”
“The FindIt appointment is a truly important milestone for JWT,” says Nicole Tan, Managing Director of JWT Malaysia.
“Our investment in expanding our digital capabilities have paid off. And I’m proud of the team for putting us on the map as an agency with truly extended skillsets. We look forward to collaborating with the FindIt team, and with our public relations partner and media agency partners, to raise the profile of this exciting brand.”
JWT Malaysia’s FindIt campaign will officially kick off in the first quarter of the year, stretching across all mediums as well as some new, unorthodox platforms.
Malaysian consumers can download the FindIt app on both Android and iOS operating systems from either the iTunes App store, Google Play, or on the company’s website at findit.com.my.
Since JWT started preliminary work with FindIt on December 15, the app has been downloaded 100,000 times and the number of Facebook likes have jumped to 50,000.
