Mumbai : As per the ratings of Hindi GEC for week 2, Zee TV happen to be the biggest gainer while the market topper Star Plus happen to be the major looser.
According to TAM data for week 2 Star Plus witnessed considerably bigger drop (41 miliion GVTs, which is around 8% drop) when compared with previous week ratings. Its numbers slipped to 613 million GVTs from 654. This comes as a setback as the channel had recorded 596 million GVTs in the last week 52 of 2014.
At No. 2, Colors has partially lost the ground it had gained during the previous week as its ratings slipped to 510 million GVTs from 520 in week 1. The channel had recorded 492 million GVTs in week 52 last year.
Zee TV standing at No.3, witnessed a marginal gains that happen to be the largest gain of the week among Hindi GECs. The channel’s ratings increased to 433 million GVTs from 430 in week 1. This comes on the back of the marginal gain it had last week when its ratings increased from 427 million GVTs in week 52, 2014.
Life OK too saw a minor rise in its ratings this week. It gained 339 million GVTs from 338 in week 1. The channel’s ratings have been rising steadily. It had climbed to 338 million GVTs from 329 in week 1.
SAB TV suffered a setback as its ratings dipped to 328 million GVTs in week 2 from 335 in week 1. A week earlier, it had managed to make good strides in the ratings charts from 320 million GVTs in the last week of 2014.
Sony Entertainment Television (SET) too suffered the same fate as its ratings slipped after a great gain in the previous week. In week 2, its ratings stood at 235 million GVTs down from 264 in week 1.
Zee Anmol saw a marginal decline in its ratings to 93 million GVTs in week 2 from 94 in week 1, while Star Utsav too slipped marginally to 87 million GVTs in week 2 from 90 in week 1.
Rishtey saw its ratings fall to 63 million GVTs in week 2 from 67 in the first week, while Big Magic gained marginally. Its ratings increased to 62 million GVTs in week 2 from 61 in week 1.
Reliance Broadcast Network’s flagship channel Big Magic that gained marginally in the week to settle with 61688 GVTs, as opposed to 61055 GVTs in previous week.
Zindagi saw its ratings climb up this week as it increased to 30 million GVTs from 28 in week 1. Sony Pal too fared well as its ratings shot up to 28 million GVTs this week from 26 the previous week.
Epic channel’s ratings went up to 7.6 million GVTs in week 2 from 6.3 in week 1. In the last week of 2014, its ratings were recorded at 5.3 million GVTs.
Finally, Sahara One saw its ratings slip from 13 million GVTs in week 1 to 10 in this week.
Top 10 Shows of Hindi GEC
Star Plus’ Diya Aur Baati Hum retains its position of being the most watched show on Indian television with an average TVT of 10241 in Week 2 of TAM 2015. Zee TV’s KumKum Bhagya that closed the week with 9260 TVTs followed it. Star Plus’ Saathiya Saath Nibhana that clocked 9248 occupies the next spot. Meanwhile, SAB’s flagship property Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma is positioned at No.4 with 8940 TVTs.
Star Plus’ Yeh Hai Mohabbatein and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recorded 8841 TVTs and 7926 TVTs, respectively. At No. 7 is Colors’ Comedy Nights with Kapil that ended the week with 7596 as the channel’s Sasural Simar Ka stood next with 7413 TVTs. The ninth spot is held by Zee TV’s Jodha Akbar that grossed 7194 TVTs. Colors’ Udaan rested at No.10 with 7154 TVTs.
