A vibrant blue fox, whimsical friends, exhilarating adventures and discovery await all those who explore the stop-motion world of ‘Tumble Leaf’. Online retail major Amazon.com’s first original kids series is available on Amazon Prime Instant Video at no additional cost for Prime members.
Created for preschool-aged children, each episode of ‘Tumble Leaf’ follows Fig, a delightfully curious blue fox, and his best friend Stick, a quirky caterpillar, as they embark on a fun and nature-filled adventure, learning science through their natural play. Created by Drew Hodges, ‘Tumble Leaf’ features voice work from newcomers Christopher Downs, Landon Clay, Addie Zintel, Brooke Wolloff and Gary Littman.
‘Tumble Leaf’ executive producer Kelli Bixler said, “Drew and I have been counting down the days until we could share Fig and his wild adventures with the rest of the world. Amazon Studios provided us with the opportunity to use our creativity to develop a series for kids that helps nurture their own creative thinking skills and teaches them to embrace science through play. We couldn’t be more thrilled to give children and their families something that is as educational as it is fun.”
Amazon Studios head of kids programming Tara Sorensen said, “Amazon Studios is ecstatic about today’s debut of Tumble Leaf, our very first original kids series. We were blown away by Kelli and Drew’s concept of Tumble Leaf from the very beginning as it perfectly fits the mold of what we’re focused on with our programming: promoting creative thinking and education through a world of adventure and play.” Prime members have unlimited streaming access to the first six episodes of ‘Tumble Leaf’, at no additional cost to their membership. Prime members can watch on Amazon Fire TV, Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, Roku, Xbox, PlayStation, Wii and Wii U, and other connected devices, online at www.amazon.com/AIV, and on Prime Instant Video in the UK. Each episode consists of two 11-minute stories and the remaining seven episodes will become available later this summer.
The series will also be available in Kindle FreeTime Unlimited, a service built just for kids that gives them the freedom to explore all their favorite books, games, educational apps, movies and TV shows, while providing parents with the tools they need to manage their kids’ screen time. Customers who are not already Prime members can sign up for a free trial at www.amazon.com/prime. ‘Tumble Leaf’, like all of Amazon’s children’s programmes, is designed to inspire creative thinking through play. To ensure series are created to engage children while supporting educational goals, ‘Tumble Leaf’ and all other Amazon kids preschool programmes are developed with the support of an expert board of advisors led by Dr. Alice Wilder.
Later this summer, Prime Instant Video will debut two more children’s series: ‘Creative Galaxy’ on 27 June, an interactive art adventure for preschoolers created by Angela C. Santomero that stars Christian Distefano and Kira Gelineau and guest stars Samantha Bee, Jason Jones and Jason Priestley; and ‘Annedroids’ on 25 July, an adventure series for children aged four through seven about a brilliant scientist who just happens to be an 11-year-old girl created by JJ Johnson that stars Addison Holley and Adrianna Di Liello.
