Mumbai: Global media agency PHD has announced the appointment of Kiron Kesav as its Chief Strategy Officer for Asia Pacific, effective immediately. Kesav will report to Eileen Ooi, CEO of PHD APAC, and work closely with the regional leadership team to drive strategic planning, business growth, innovation, and digital transformation across the region.
With over 15 years of industry experience, Kesav was most recently Chief Strategy Officer at OMG Malaysia, where he played a key role in successful multi-market and local pitches for OPPO, Warner Bros. Discovery, CelcomDigi, and Dutch Lady. He also spearheaded AI adoption across the agency and elevated OMG Malaysia’s industry reputation through initiatives like the flagship ‘Future Play’ event.
Before his tenure at OMG Malaysia, Kesav spent three years with PHD Malaysia as General Manager, Strategy and Platforms, where he helped scale the adoption of Omni, making PHD Malaysia one of the top 10 global markets in terms of Omni Studio usage. His leadership also led to the development of key strategic tools, including PHD Pulse and OMG OOH Priority Radar.
Kesav will continue to serve as Chief Strategy Officer at OMG Malaysia in the interim while a search for his successor is underway to ensure a smooth transition.
His appointment follows recent leadership changes within OMG Malaysia, including the appointment of Winnie Chen-Head as CEO, succeeding Eileen Ooi, who took over as CEO of PHD APAC last year.
