New Delhi: adidas and Liverpool Football Club (LFC) have announced a multi-year partnership, marking the return of the sportswear giant as the club’s official kit partner from the 2025/26 season onwards. Starting 1st August 2025, adidas will provide match kits, training wear, and culture wear for all men’s, women’s, and academy teams, as well as LFC Foundation staff.
This collaboration marks the third time in history that adidas and Liverpool FC are coming together, following two previous successful partnerships from 1985-1996 and 2006-2012. Over the years, this partnership has been linked to some of the club’s most iconic moments, with Liverpool securing three domestic league titles and eleven domestic cup victories during those eras. Fans still cherish many of the jerseys from these periods as some of the most memorable kits in the club’s history.
The announcement comes at an exciting time for Liverpool FC, with the men’s team currently leading the domestic league and progressing in the UEFA Champions League, while the women’s team continues to establish itself as a dominant force in the top tier of women’s football.
Bjørn Gulden, CEO of adidas, expressed his enthusiasm for rekindling this historic collaboration, “We are very excited that adidas and Liverpool Football Club are teaming up once again. The club is one of the biggest and most iconic names in world football with a huge fan base. We are honored to once again provide the players with cutting-edge technology to perform at the highest level. The jerseys worn during previous partnerships are some of the greatest ever created. We are looking forward to bringing back some of these classics and creating new exciting products for the fans.”
Billy Hogan, CEO of Liverpool Football Club, echoed this excitement, “Everyone at the club is incredibly excited to welcome adidas back into the LFC family once again. We have enjoyed fantastic success together in the past and created some of the most loved LFC kits of all time. It’s the perfect time for us to partner together once again and we look forward to creating more iconic kits and continued on-the-pitch success, building on our wonderful, shared history.”
The new deal also builds on adidas’ existing relationships with several Liverpool players, including Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Darwin Núñez, Alexis Mac Allister, Diogo Jota, Luis Díaz, Ryan Gravenberch, Fuka Nagano, Mia Enderby, and Jenna Clark.
The first adidas-designed Liverpool FC kits for the 2025/26 season will be officially revealed across club and adidas channels on 1st August 2025.
