Mumbai: The Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council of India (Pharmexcil), an esteemed body under the Government of India promoting pharmaceutical exports, has appointed Bhavin Mukund Mehta, Wholetime Director of Kilitch Drugs (India) Limited, as its new Vice-Chairman.
A seasoned leader with over 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical sector, Mehta has been instrumental in expanding Kilitch Drugs’ export footprint while also strengthening its domestic presence. His expertise in leadership, business development, strategy management, international marketing, and operations is expected to significantly benefit Pharmexcil’s mission of fostering India’s pharmaceutical exports.
Mehta has played a pivotal role in promoting Indian pharmaceuticals globally. In 2012, he was appointed Chairman of Pharmexcil’s Exhibition Committee by the Ministry of Commerce, where he was instrumental in establishing IPHEX, India’s largest pharmaceutical exhibition, showcasing the country’s capabilities in pharma exports.
Expressing his enthusiasm about the new role, Bhavin Mehta stated, “I am truly honored to be appointed as Vice-Chairman at Pharmexcil. Mehta holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from S.P. Jain Institute of Management, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Sciences degree from the University of Mumbai.
