Mumbai: Rising Gurugram, the second event of the Rising 100 Cities series, was held at Gurugram University, Haryana. Organized by Network18, presented by Maruti Suzuki, and partnered by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the event spotlighted Gurugram’s transformation into a hub of progress, sustainability, and innovation. The event witnessed participation of Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Additional Commissioner of Police Priyanshu Diwan (Road Safety and Cyber Crime), Kalyan Sundaram (General Manager, Maruti Suzuki), Gurgaon BJP Leader Suraj Pal Ammu, Congress Leader Sukhbir Katariya, and Mukesh Sharma. The discussions revolved around key themes such as Sadak Suraksha, Swachh Bharat, Sustainability, and Skill Development, underscoring Gurugram’s potential as a city driving innovation and balanced development.
The Rising Cities series highlights the ingenuity, sustainable progress, and unique strengths of India’s thriving urban hubs. Following Gurugram, the journey will travel to Pratapgarh, Jaunpur, Raebareli, and other cities, showcasing their unique strengths while igniting dialogue on their growth trajectories.
