Jio Platforms has appointed Sajith Sivanandan as the President of Jio Mobile Digital Services. Sivanandan, who brings a wealth of experience from global tech and media giants, began his role in January 2025, according to his LinkedIn profile.
In his new position, Sivanandan will focus on building scalable digital services for Jio Mobile, leveraging advanced AI technologies to enhance offerings and drive growth.
Before joining Jio Platforms, Sivanandan served as the CEO of Disney+ Hotstar for over two years. During his tenure, he oversaw the platform’s strategy, growth, product development, and profitability in India. He also led a multidisciplinary organization, managing functions including ad sales, growth, partnerships, analytics, product management, engineering, marketing, content, customer service, and more.
Prior to Disney+ Hotstar, Sivanandan spent 15 years at Google, where he held key leadership roles. His last position at Google was Managing Director and Business Head of Google Pay and Next Billion User Initiatives for the Asia Pacific region.
Sivanandan’s deep expertise in scaling digital platforms, combined with his proven leadership across diverse functions, positions him well to drive innovation and growth at Jio Platforms.
