Hyderabad: Himalaya Wellness has concluded the second edition of its impactful “My First Pimple” campaign. The initiative reached thousands of young girls across nine cities in West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh, equipping them with knowledge and confidence to navigate the challenges of adolescence, particularly regarding skincare and managing pimples.
The campaign emphasized that pimples are a natural part of growing up, affecting most teenagers due to hormonal changes during puberty. By addressing the underlying factors, such as increased oil production and its effects on skin health, the program aimed to demystify these changes and reduce their impact on self-esteem.
The ‘My First Pimple’ program spanned over 125 schools, where interactive sessions conducted by local skincare influencers engaged young participants. These sessions delved into topics such as understanding hormonal changes, the science behind pimples, and the importance of maintaining healthy skin. To make learning enjoyable, the initiative included quizzes, games, and hands-on demonstrations.
Ragini Hariharan, Marketing Director – Beauty & Personal Care, Himalaya Wellness, shared her thoughts, “We’re thrilled to announce the completion of Himalaya Wellness’ ‘My First Pimple’ program, which represents a significant step in addressing the unique skincare experiences of young people. Pimples are a common experience that shouldn’t affect a young person’s confidence. Through this initiative, we aim to normalize these changes and equip girls with the knowledge to embrace healthy skincare habits. By partnering with local voices and creating a supportive environment, we empowered them to make informed choices for their skin health.”
A brand rooted in Ayurveda and nature, Himalaya Wellness is committed to providing holistic and age-appropriate skincare solutions. The “My First Pimple” campaign exemplifies this dedication, creating a platform to educate, support, and empower young adults as they embrace their skincare journey.
