Mumbai: Raymond Limited a textile and apparel company, has announced a series of strategic appointments to its leadership team and Board of Directors. These appointments reflect the company’s commitment to enhancing its corporate governance structure and positioning for sustained growth in the competitive market.
The company has appointed Gautam Hari Singhania as the Executive Chairman of the Company, further solidifying his leadership role in driving Raymond’s strategic direction. Along with this appointment, the company has also approved the fixation of his remuneration.
Further strengthening its board, Dinesh Lal has been appointed as an Independent Director, and Anisha Motwani has been appointed as an Independent Woman Director. Additionally, Girish Chandra Chaturvedi, Veneet Nayar, and Rajiv Sharma have been appointed as Independent Directors, reinforcing Raymond’s commitment to maintaining a diverse and experienced Board.
In a move to ensure continuity in leadership, Mahendra Doshi will continue serving as an Independent Director beyond the age of 75 years, in line with Raymond’s strong governance practices.
The company also announced the appointment of Sunil Kataria as the Managing Director, with his remuneration to be fixed. Mr. Kataria’s appointment is expected to bring valuable leadership and direction to Raymond’s operations and growth strategy.
Lastly, Ravindra Dhariwal has been redesignated as a Non-Executive Director, marking another step in the company’s leadership transition.
