Mumbai: FICCI (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry) played a pivotal role at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and the 18th Film Bazaar in Goa, underscoring its commitment to fostering growth and innovation in the media and entertainment sector. As the industry partner for the VFX & Tech Pavilion and the Market Pavilion, FICCI invited global brands to showcase their latest offerings and technological advancements, creating a dynamic platform for collaboration in the media space.
FICCI also served as the official partner for the NFDC Film Bazaar’s Producer’s Meet-Up, successfully organizing networking sessions on November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th. These sessions facilitated key interactions and collaborations among producers, strengthening the ecosystem for the Indian film industry. Additionally, FICCI hosted an India-Spain networking event to bolster bilateral film collaboration between the two countries. The event saw participation from Mr. Juan Manuel Guimerans, the newly elected President of Spain’s Film Industry, and a high-level Spanish delegation including Ms. Anna Saura, renowned Spanish producer; Ms. Camilo Vazquez, Institute for Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), Ministry of Culture, Government of Spain; Mr. Vicente Gomis from Spain Tourism; ICEX Commercial Office in India; and Mr. Guillermo Rodríguez, Director of Casa de la India.
Over the course of five days at the Film Bazaar, FICCI successfully facilitated more than 700 business-to-business meetings, connecting over 500 global and Indian content producers and distributors. By creating collaborative spaces for producers and creators, FICCI and the NFDC Film Bazaar are driving the growth of the media and entertainment industry, encouraging innovation and cultural exchange. This initiative further cements India’s leadership in the global entertainment landscape.
