Mumbai: The India Chapter of the International Advertising Association (IAA) is intensifying its efforts to combat voter apathy with a powerful new campaign aimed at motivating eligible citizens in Maharashtra to vote in the upcoming elections on November 20th.
Abhishek Karnani, President of IAA India, stated, “Our efforts to encourage voter participation have been consistent over the years. Voting is not only a fundamental right but also a responsibility of every eligible citizen. This campaign emphasizes the urgent need for citizens to exercise their right to vote and address the issues they care about most. The campaign is completely apolitical, urging people to vote for their families, friends, and themselves to bring about positive change in their communities.”
The campaign, designed by independent creative director Dhananjay Khotpal, alongside a nameless copywriter, tackles the pervasive issue of voter apathy by focusing on the real-life impact of elections. It highlights the importance of voting as a means of influencing the future and improving the conditions that matter most to the citizens of Maharashtra.
IAA’s initiative aims to drive home the message that voting is a collective responsibility, empowering individuals to make a tangible difference in shaping their local and national future. The creative approach of the campaign is geared toward resonating with voters of all ages, using a combination of emotional appeal and social responsibility to encourage maximum turnout on election day.
Through this campaign, IAA continues its commitment to civic engagement and ensuring that the voice of every eligible voter is heard in the democratic process.
