New Delhi: The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the deadline for submission of written comments on its Consultation Paper regarding the “Regulatory Framework for Ground-Based Broadcasters.” Originally set for 15th November, 2024, the last date for stakeholders to submit their comments has now been extended to 22nd November, 2024.
Additionally, stakeholders who wish to submit counter-comments will now have time until 6th December, 2024, to do so. TRAI has clarified that no further requests for extension will be entertained beyond these revised deadlines.
The Consultation Paper, issued on 18th October, 2024, aims to gather feedback on the regulatory framework governing ground-based broadcasters in India. The consultation process is a key part of TRAI’s efforts to ensure that the regulatory environment is aligned with the evolving needs of the broadcasting sector.
Stakeholders, including industry players, experts, and organizations, have been urged to send their comments and counter-comments in electronic form to the designated email addresses: [email protected] and [email protected].
