Bangalore: InMobi Advertising, a provider of content monetization and marketing technologies, has unveiled the next generation of the InMobi Consent Management Platform (InMobi CMP). This self-service solution is designed to help publishers seamlessly align with rapidly changing global privacy regulations, offering the most robust privacy management platform for mobile publishers to navigate the complex privacy landscape.
With privacy regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) expanding and evolving, InMobi CMP now enables more publishers to foster user-level trust, elevate ad revenue, and ensure compliance. The platform supports the Global Privacy Platform (GPP) and includes enhanced customization capabilities for apps built on Unity.
Key features of this update include:
Global Privacy Platform (GPP) Support for Apps and Websites: InMobi CMP supports GPP for websites and all apps (Android, iOS, and Unity), ensuring compliance with the Multi-State Privacy Agreement (MSPA) framework in the U.S., which covers regulations across five states including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and Virginia.
New UI Customization for Unity Apps: Publishers can now personalize consent models for any app they create, including those built on Unity. This feature allows for adjustments in color schemes and font styles of UI elements on consent prompts, enhancing user experience and improving consent rates.
“Consumers are increasingly aware of their data rights, and InMobi Advertising is dedicated to providing solutions that help brands and publishers navigate the global privacy landscape,” says Abhay Singhal, CEO of InMobi Advertising. “By implementing robust consent management practices, publishers can demonstrate transparency and commitment to user privacy, ultimately building trust and improving engagement.”
A recent survey by InMobi Advertising revealed that over 87% of mobile users believe apps should protect their privacy, yet only 42% feel they actually do. Addressing this expectation gap is crucial for mobile publishers, as 77% of respondents indicated that trust in an app affects their likelihood to make in-app purchases.
“BrainWave Games is committed to prioritizing user privacy while navigating the challenges posed by ever-changing regulations,” says Mia Chen, CEO of BrainWave Games. “Our consent management process focuses on user experience, ensuring it is easy to understand and seamlessly integrates with our app design.”
InMobi CMP not only enhances compliance but also reinforces data transparency and user control. By providing users with granular control over their data permissions, the platform fosters a transparent data relationship, ensuring a seamless and non-intrusive consent process that enhances overall user experience. This commitment to user privacy ultimately leads to increased satisfaction and trust among consumers.
