Mumbai: Manish Tiwary, the former Country Manager of Amazon India’s Consumer Business, has been appointed as the new Managing Director of Nestlé India. This leadership transition follows the tenure of Suresh Narayanan, who leaves behind a legacy of significant growth and expansion for the global food and beverage giant in the Indian market.
Tiwary, who joined Amazon India in 2016, was instrumental in transforming the company’s consumer business operations and enhancing the digital commerce landscape in India. He played a crucial role in strengthening seller services and fostering an inclusive platform for millions of buyers and sellers across the country.
In a 2022 interview with Storyboard18, Tiwary highlighted the importance of focusing on inputs to achieve desired outcomes, saying, “In Amazon, we have a saying: Focus on the input. You can’t control the output. That’s what we’re focused on.”
Prior to his tenure at Amazon, Tiwary spent nearly 20 years at Unilever, where he held various roles in sales, marketing, and general management. His last position was Managing Director for Unilever’s Gulf operations, overseeing a market that spans 34 countries across North Africa and the Middle East, based in Dubai. His experience in Unilever South Asia also placed him at the forefront of sales strategies in the region.
Tiwary holds a Management degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bengaluru, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from BITS, Pilani. His extensive background positions him well to lead Nestlé India into its next phase of growth and innovation.
