National: Akasa Air has appointed Sejal Haribhakti Mody as its CHRO from September 9, 2024. She will lead human resources strategy as the airline aims to be a top 30 airline globally by the decade’s end.
Sejal’s new role involves leading organizational and functional transformation, enterprise performance, talent management, and leadership development with a focus on enhancing employee experience and culture. With 20+ years of experience in HR, organizational change, and talent strategy across industries like FMCG, media, and consulting, Sejal brings rich expertise to the table.

Before Akasa Air, Sejal led HR functions at Hindustan Unilever Ltd., overseeing Talent Strategy, Culture, and Capability for South Asia. She also managed HR at Disney Star during integration and held leadership roles at McKinsey & Co. and Accenture.
Sejal has earned an MBA in Finance and Change Management from the Indian School of Business and a BBA Honors in Management Information Systems from Texas McCombs School of Business.
Akasa Air is a preferred carrier in India, serving over 11 million passengers since its August 2022 launch. It connects with 22 domestic and five international cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, and international destinations like Doha, Jeddah, and Abu Dhabi.
