Balaji Prakash has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer and Business Head of Consumer Products Group at EID Parry India.
He was associated with Murugappa Group’s EID Parry India since 2017. He joined as Vice President – Sales and Marketing and played multiple roles. Prior to this elevation he was the Executive Vice President and Business Head for Consumer Products Group.
Revealing the new role on his LinkedIn handle, Prakash shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m transitioning as Chief Operating Officer & Business Head – Consumer Products Group at EID Parry India Ltd!”
Before joining EID Parry India, Prakash worked for Tata Teleservices as Business Unit Head and Business Head. Prior to this, he associated with CavinKare where he played major roles in food business between 2007 and 2014. Previous to this, he served for TTK Healthcare as DGM Marketing from 2006 to 2007.
Prior to his stint with TTK Healthcare, Prakash worked for Lotte India Corporation as Category Manager between 2004 and 2006. Before this, he joined Ford Motor Company as Senior Brand Manager from 2003 to 2004. Previous to this, he associated with CavinKare as Group Product Manager between 1998 and 2003. He started his career as Sales Executive with Castrol India.
With 19 years of experience, Prakash has expertise in FMCG industry and Telecom across personal care, confectionary, beverage and dairy markets. He graduated MBA degree from Bharathidasan Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli.
