Vinod Ramgopal Maheshwari, media mogul and Chairman of Navbharat Group, passed away in Mumbai on the morning of August 12. He had been battling dengue and was transferred to Mumbai for treatment, where he unfortunately succumbed to the illness.
In his condolence message, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari expressed deep sadness over the passing of Vinod Maheshwari Ji, the Chairman of the Navbharat Group. He paid heartfelt tributes to Maheshwari, noting that through *Navbharat*, Maheshwari had consistently given voice to the people of Central India and upheld the values of journalism. Gadkari mentioned having had a personal bond with Maheshwari for many decades and lamented the loss of a close friend. He extended his prayers for peace for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family.
