Bengaluru: The gaming startup, STAN, has onboarded Alex James as Head of Partnerships.
STAN, established in 2022, boasts Asia’s largest gaming community with 12M+ downloads. It offers creators a platform to monetize and interact with users through digital collectibles, chat/audio rooms, and celebrity communities. Additionally, users can engage with favorite gaming creators and celebrities and with each other.
STAN recently secured $3.2 million in Pre-Series A funding from General Catalyst and new investors including Aptos Labs, Pix Capital, and Accelerate Capital.
Speaking about his new role, James said, “With 500Mn + audience growing at a CAGR of 12% , In India Gaming has become that core cohort that brands can’t afford to overlook. Before his current position, James oversaw Inshorts’ Public app monetization in the South market and held senior roles at major media organizations such as Disney Star, CNN, CNBC-TV18, Times Group, and GroupM, accumulating over 14 years of experience.
