New Delhi: The Indian Racing Festival, an elite motorsport event in India, enters its third season with a significant boost – Sourav Ganguly, former India cricket captain and BCCI president, joins as owner of the Kolkata Royal Tigers Racing team for the 2024 season, enhancing the motorsport landscape nationwide.
The Indian Racing Festival, by Racing Promotions Pvt. Ltd., captivates India’s motorsport fans with the Indian Racing League (IRL) and Formula 4 Indian Championship (F4IC).
Eight city-based teams compete from August to November in the Indian Racing Festival, offering an exciting season of high-speed action. Kolkata’s debut adds extra excitement to the competition.
Sourav Ganguly, also known as the ‘Prince of Calcutta’ and ‘Dada,’ has joined the Kolkata Royal Tigers as an owner, promising to bring excitement and prestige to motor racing in West Bengal and eastern India. His presence is expected to boost the sport’s popularity and transform the Kolkata Royal Tigers.
