Times Network has appointed Varun Kohli as Chief Operating Officer for News Broadcasting business. He previously worked as Director & CEO of Bharat Express.
Kohli will directly report to the Managing Director’s Office while working with N Subramanian, Executive Director and Group CEO, Non-Publishing Business, Times Group.
Kohli has an extensive career in media industry. Popularly known as “Turnaround Man”, he positioned in various leading roles of the industry.
Prior to this, Kohli worked for Bharat Express as CEO. Before this, he associated with Sporty Media Solutionz as CEO between 2022 and 2023. Previous to this, he served for iTV Network as CEO and Group CEO from 2015 to 2017 and 2017 and 2022. He also positioned as COO & Revenue Head at iTV Network between 2014 and 2015.
Previous to his stint with iTV Network, Kholi was a Senior Vice President at TV18 Broadcast Limited from 2012 to 2014. Before this, he worked for various organizations including DNA Newspapers, Mogae Media, Mail Today Newspapers, Benett Coleman & Company, Deccan Chronicle Holdings, Amar Ujala Publications and Hindustan Times.
With three decades of experience, Kohli has expertise in strategic management , leadership , people management , sales, marketing, P&L and operations management.
