Mumbai: Today, GroupM, WPP’s media investment group, revealed its plan to merge its renowned Content, Sports, and Entertainment services into GroupM Content and Sport. This integrated offering aims to give GroupM clients privileged access to extensive and compelling premium content opportunities in India. Marketers will leverage these resources to enrich brand engagement with culturally resonant and consumer-focused initiatives.
Vinit Karnik has been appointed as Managing Director of Content, Entertainment, and Sports for GroupM India to lead the consolidated offering. He will spearhead a cohesive strategy, utilizing GroupM’s extensive scale, expertise, and technology in these fields to enhance brand affinity and consumer engagement. Supporting him will be Ajay Mehta, formerly in charge of Content at Mindshare, and Subhamoy Das, who will oversee the Content and Sports verticals.
The move is part of GroupM’s ongoing business transformation to accelerate growth and innovation by unifying its teams and capabilities to provide more integrated, agile, and effective solutions for clients.
