Saurabh Sakesena has decided to exit from VML as President. In this role, he delivered business outcomes through innovation, brand building, data, deep consumer understanding, and a collaborative and focused solutions-focused approach.
Announcing his decision on the LinkedIn handle, Saksena wrote, “A rewarding stint at VML India draws to an end, as I’ve decided to move on. Thanks, Jon, Beth Ann, Beth, Stefan, Hari, Marc, Bernadette, Nick, Camellia, Symon, Aarti and the rest of the team, for the great time I had, working with you. A shout-out to Audrey Kuah and Yi-Chung Tay for taking VML, APAC, to greater heights.”

Previous to VML, Saksena worked for VML Y&R as CEO between 2022 and 2024. Before this, he associated with Red Fuse Communications as President from 2019 to 2022. Previous to this, Saksena served for J. Thompson Worldwide between 2009 and 2019, in leading roles. He also worked for Mid Day as Publisher (Head of Bangalore edition), from 2007 to 2009.
Prior to this, Saksena also worked for agencies such as DDB Mudra Group, Ogilvy, and Clarion Communications. He started his career at Clarion Communications since 1993.
With over 30 years of experience, Sakesena has excelled in areas such as Advertising, Consumer Behaviour, Integrated Marketing, Marketing Communications, and Country Operations. He has worked for several global and Indian brands in diverse categories such as CPG, retail, food and beverage, technology, telecom, automotive, e-commerce, oil and gas, restaurants, retail, and more.
