2014 India Radio Forum awards recently happened in New Delhi.
Red FM the private FM broadcaster has won 11 awards at India Radio Forum 2014. India Radio Forum playing a vital role on creating a platform for radio and media players to discuss strategic options and latest developments in radio technology.
Red FM had received 11 awards which include the prestigious awards like Best FM station – Mumbai, Best Radio Station Imaging (Ahmedabad), Best Radio Promo – In-House (Kannada), Excellence in New Media Initiative (Ahmedabad) and Best Use of Music/Song/Jingle by an Advertiser in a Radio Spot – ZenithOptimedia Nescafe Mornings.
“Radio broadcasters have to rethink their strategy to maintain revenue, while continuing to enhance the listening experience for a more engaged audience. We are excited to be recognised for the good work once again. Awards and recognition are true rewards for the hard work the team puts in. Being awarded as the Best RJ and Best Station is the cherry on the cake.” said Red FM COO Nisha Narayanan.
Suryan FM also received two awards for Best Radio Promo – In-House (Kannada) and Best Breakfast Programme (Tamil), taking the total to 13 for the group. Reliance’s Big FM picked up nine awards for Best Programme (Non Breakfast) in several regional languages. Radio Mirchi received six Forum awards.
Red FM’s breakfast show host RJ Raunac contributed to the session ‘Living the Radio Dream’. He shared his experience of being chosen the Youth Ambassador of Delhi by Election Commission of India during the recent 16th Lok Sabha elections. He also talked about his social responsibility which he makes good by engaging and influencing the listeners through the art of storytelling.
A total of 43 awards were given away in a ceremony hosted by RJ Paragi Dubey of My FM and comedian Radhika Vaz. Suryan FM COO B Surendar delivered the welcome note with Big FM business head Ashwin Padmanabhan at the forum. The session was moderated by Satyajit Sen of ZenithOptimedia.
