Janam Tamil news channel launching today

Chennai: Janam Tamil, the Tamil language news channel owned by Janam Multimedia Limited will be launched today. 

The inauguration ceremony will be held in Chennai, with Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, presiding over the event. L Murugan, Minister of State in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India will also be in attendance.

Janam Multimedia also owns Malayalam news channel Janam TV which went on air from April 2015.

The Janam Tamil is an extension of right leaning Janam TV in Kerala, offering an opposing narrative to the dominant Dravidian ideology in the state for the past five decades.
