Piali Dasgupta, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communication, has moved on from Columbia Pacific Communities.
Dasgupta announced on her LinkedIn handle, “I have moved on from my role as Senior Vice President – Marketing and Communication at Columbia Pacific Communications after five and a half eventful years.”
“I joined the founding leadership team in India at a time when the brand didn’t exist in India. People had only heard of Columbia Asia Hospitals, our sister concern. It’s been an immensely fulfilling experience building the brand, the business and the category from scratch and making it the most preferred consumer brand in the senior living category in a span of five years. The opportunity to serve seniors, give them a voice and visibility, fight ageism and age-related stereotypes that exist in society, craft the narrative of positive ageing, and create a benchmark setting senior care brand in the country, is something that I will always be grateful for,” she added.
Further, Dasgupta added, “I am leaving the organisation at a time when we have almost entirely sold out our first signature project The Virtuoso, made remarkable progress on unit sales of our second project in Bangalore in association with Embassy Group, have a pipeline of new projects in emerging markets, have brought home a whopping 150+ prestigious Marketing awards over the years for our shape-shifting, clutter breaking campaigns battling it out with brands that spend in a single month what we would spend in four quarters, and remained consistently ahead of all our competitors in terms of preference and awareness. None of this would have been possible without my incredible team, who I will miss very much, and the guidance, support and exemplary leadership of my former boss and CEO, Mohit Nirula.”
Dasgupta’s stint with Columbia Pacific Communications as Senior VP – Marketing and Communication covers over a period of 5 years. Prior to this, she worked for Publicis Groupe as Creative Director and Branch Head from 2016 to 2018. Previous to her tenure with Publicis, Dasgupta served for The Hindu, Amazon, Myntra.com, Various Publication, and Bennett Coleman and Co. Ltd. (Times Group) between 2007 and 2016.
With over 17 years of cross-category experience across media, e-commerce, retail and real estate. Her areas of specialization includes strategizing and driving brand imagery, brand positioning, brand architecture, customer segmentation, PR and corporate communication, storytelling, campaign creation, digital marketing, performance marketing, ATL and BTL marketing.
