Neeraj Jha has been appointed as Director – Head of Content, Programming & Acquisition (Sports) at Warner Bros. Discovery. In this role, Jha is responsible for creating and delivering engaging content and enhancing the fan experience for Discovery Plus.
Revealing the new position on his LinkedIn handle, Jha shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Director – Head of Content & Acquisition (Sports) at Warner Bros. Discovery!”
Jha’s recent role at the streaming company, was Head of Content & Acquisition (Sports). Prior to Warner Bros. Discovery, he performed as Co-Founder at SEEtalks between 2016 and 2020. Jha was self-employed between 2018 and 2019 and worked for renowned sports companies including Sony Ten, Star Sports, and Reliance JIO among others.
Jha also positioned as AVP – Production at TEN SPORTS NETWORK from 2005 to 2018. Prior to his tenure with TEN SPORTS, he worked at Zee News as Correspondent – Producer for a year. Previous to this, Jha played the role of Producer & Programme Executive at E-TV network between 2002 and 2004. He began his career at IMG as Assistant Producer since 2001.
With over 20 years of experience in the media industry, Jha has expertise in live sports broadcasting, sports analysis, TV journalism, show production, sports marketing and book authorship.
Jha did Executive in Business Management, Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services at Institute of Management Technology. He also completed PG Diploma in Electronic Media at Indian Institute of Mass Communication.
